Welcome to the November Sunrise Youth Newsletter! We're excited to kick off the month with you and share what's coming up in the ministry. This issue includes updates, event information, and ways you can get involved. Whether you're new to the ministry or have been with us for a while, we hope you find the newsletter useful and that you feel part of the community.

Churchwide Game Night next Friday! Bring your favorite board game and a snack to share. The gym will be open too, so everyone can find something fun to do. It’s a great chance to spend time together and meet new people. Hope to see your families there!
Join us for our Soup Lunch & Bake Auction! It's a great opportunity to bid on homemade goodies and support the youth ministry at the same time.
Ways You Can Help:
Lunch:
If your family can help with food, we need at least 10 crockpots of soup or chili, plus some bread.
Baked goods:
Youth, start thinking about what you want to bake for the auction! Cookies, cakes, breads, pies, or whatever you enjoy making. It’s a simple way to get involved and helps raise money for our youth group.
There won’t be youth group that night. Instead, anyone who wants to can stick around and help decorate The Den and The Loft for Christmas. We’ll hang out through the afternoon, put up decorations, play Christmas music, and watch a Christmas movie if people feel like it.

We’re continuing on with our Biblical Worldview series, and it’s been great so far! We’ve been talking about some big, real-life topics. Instead of just going along with what our culture does, our students are turning to God’s Word for guidance on big questions. It’s been awesome to watch them join these conversations with thoughtful responses and questions, and an interest in how God’s Word relates to daily life. Thank you for praying for our students and leaders as we unpack these important truths together. I encourage you to keep the conversation going at home, too!
This month’s featured parent resource is a brief article from The Gospel Coalition, based on a previous resource we shared with our youth families. This article summarizes how, as parents, we should pursue our teens and engage them as they grow in wisdom. Even when they don't like it, our young people need to know we are there for them, that they matter to us, and, most importantly, that they matter to God. I have a couple of extra copies of Paul Tripp's Age of Opportunity. Please reach out if you would like one!
