Spring has arrived, and we want you to know how thankful we are for each of you. This season reminds us of God’s faithfulness and the new life He gives. We’re looking forward to all that He has planned for our youth and church family this month.
We have some really fun things planned for this year, and we’re excited to share them with you! Thank you to everyone who filled out the event interest survey and helped us choose dates. Your feedback really helps us plan better. We know everyone’s schedules are busy, so we tried to make the events work for as many families as possible. To see everything coming up, download the PDF below. You can also stay updated through our app, visit sunrisemidland.org/youthevents, or check the event calendar at the bottom of this newsletter.

We’re still working through Philippians, and it’s been really good. It’s amazing to see how building your life around Jesus doesn’t just change a few things; it changes everything. When we finish, I’m praying about spending the summer in the Psalms and seeing where God leads us.
This fall, I’m excited to share that we will be starting a series on what it means to have a Biblical Worldview. Our students face a lot of noise and confusion about identity, truth, and value. God has given us truth, and we can stand firm in the foundation of His Word, His sovereignty, and the goodness of His character.
I’ve been working on putting our core foundations for youth ministry into writing. Youth group should be a place where students gather, build friendships, and have fun, and we want to make sure that happens. At the same time, we need to remember the bigger picture. Why do we do what we do? What are we working toward? In the PDF below, you’ll find our foundation for youth ministry. These are the pillars that guide everything we do. I encourage you to take a few minutes to read through them when you can. They reflect the heart of our youth leaders and elders, and we hope they help you see the vision God has given us for your students.
This month, we’re excited to share a devotional from Axis.org called From Wonder to Endurance: A Parent’s Devotional for Forming Faith at Home. Axis is a ministry that helps parents and teens connect. This devotional talks about real challenges parents face in today’s busy world. We hope this practical and encouraging resource is a blessing to your family as you invest in your kids.
I'm thankful for those who've already had a chance to meet with me. If we haven’t had an opportunity to connect yet, I’d really like to meet with you. These meetings give us a chance to talk about your student, their faith journey, and how we can support them together.
You can sign up for one of the remaining dates using the link below. If those times don’t work for your family, that’s okay. Just let me know, and we’ll find a time that does.
