Hi everyone, and welcome to the September Youth Newsletter! Inside, you’ll find the latest updates, ways to get involved, news about our new parent resource, upcoming events, and our new teaching series. Check it out to see what’s happening and how you can join in this month.
Due to Labor Day Weekend, we will not meet for Youth Group on Sunday, September 6th. I hope you enjoy a time of rest as we begin this busy school season!
We’re excited to team up with the Emergency Food Pantry Network again this year to help our neighbors in need. This event is a great opportunity to support families facing food insecurity. The mobile pantry will be set up in the parking lot next to the FMC and is open to everyone. This is a great opportunity to serve with your family and share God’s love in a very tangible way.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH

School, sports, and everything else can pull you in so many directions, and it’s easy to feel worn out and disconnected. On September 13th, we plan to study John 15:1-8 and discuss what it really means to abide in Jesus, the True Vine. Just like a phone needs to be charged to work, we can’t do anything good on our own. We will also discuss how God gently removes the clutter from our lives, not to punish us, but to help us grow so that our lives can be a witness to those around us who are still seeking purpose and meaning.
We invite you to join us as we start a new season of Sunday School for all ages. We’re happy to welcome everyone back as we continue our journey through the Bible, starting again in 1 Kings. Adam and Lilly Bristol will teach the Middle School class in the North Hallway classroom near the sidewalk. TJ and Andrea will lead the High School class in the Cornerstone Café. Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we look forward to learning and growing together.
Join us as we celebrate the start of a new ministry season! Whether you're new to Sunrise or have been attending for years, we'd love to invite you to a day of fun, food, and activities for all ages.

We’re excited to begin a new teaching series! Starting Sunday, October 4th, we’ll explore what it means to have a Biblical Worldview. Throughout this series, we’ll discover how God’s Word influences every area of our lives. Our hope is that these lessons spark meaningful discussions and encourage students to view the world through a biblical lens. Let’s grow and learn together as we dive into these important topics!
This month’s parent resource is The Gospel Way Catechism, a Q&A-style guide that presents 50 essential Christian beliefs. Designed for weekly family discipleship, this will pair well with our Biblical Worldview series. This catechism helps families engage in meaningful, faith-centered conversations and equips both parents and teens to respond to cultural ideas with biblical truth. Each section includes discussion questions grounded in Scripture, making it a helpful tool for discipleship at home. I plan to hand this resource out to our youth families in the coming weeks.
