Hardware

FunVee VanThe van this year is 2008 Chevy Express named the FunVee.  It has been an awesome ministry tool.  When we pick up a large group of students, the first question they ask is “why are you giving free rides” to be able to say that we just want to show them the love of Jesus is a great witness. There next question usually is “who pays for this” I am glad that we can answer that our church does.  Thank you for your support, and prayers.  We have met many students that have come from a “church” background, and some even Baptist.  We can pray that the Holy Spirit will use our love and outreach to these kids to bring them back to Jesus. Others that we meet have no spiritual background, and the rides we give really open them to talking about spiritual things.  Many seeds have already been planted and the Lord will bring the harvest!  Please continue to pray for our team…

Surrender

written by Tyson | 03-08-2010 | 2:40pm

the topic for the week is surrender, last night we had an awesome time of worship and teaching. we read from John 6, specifically i was drawn to v29. i encourage you to read it. too often we're getting in the way of God's leading and people see too much of us when we are in contact with them. we're here to love people and show them how much God loves them too.

The first official day out

written by Ben | 03-08-2010 | 2:28am

Well, this has been an interesting experience so far.  I was in one of the street teams.  Our job consisted of walking up and down the strip and making sure everyone knew how to get a free pancake breakfast in the morning and van rides at night.  Had a few really good conversations, and I understand some pointless ones too, but overall it's been a really good experience so far.  Thanks for the prayers.  Toodles.

Long day of driving today, but we finally got here after >20 hrs of driving.  We are all settled into our condo, and all pumped to go out and spread some love tomorrow night out on the streets.  Thats all for now.  Peace.
